Pitt Meadows is a blossoming community in the heart of the Fraser Valley. Situated between Port Coquitlam (West) & Maple Ridge (East) Pitt Meadows offers reasonably priced housing and urban living in a picturesque rural setting. Single family homes in planned developments as well as farms and ranches dominate the areas housing market. Due to the growth of the area there are many ongoing projects both commercial and residential, new bridges, additions to the airport, new housing developments, and the newly built mall at the border of Maple Ridge complete with a multi screen movie theatre, supermarket, and numerous other shops and services are a testament to the rapid expansion of Pitt Meadows. Farming and agriculture continue to be Pitt Meadows number one industry. Blueberries, cranberries, and greenhouse vegetables are the main crops in the area and farmers raise cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, and turkeys.
Being that Pitt Meadows is bounded by three bodies of water, Alouette Lake, Pitt River, and The Fraser River water activities are the main source of recreation in the area. There are numerous trails along the rivers in which to enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and horse back riding.
